Moon Eater

    Can someone please explain this skill to me? It adds a number of game hours to Moon Worship (and other minor bonuses that occur when the moon is up); +5 game hours at GM. However, a game hour is 2.5 real minutes and the moon's cycle is 28 real hours. So, how is the Moon Worship skill valuable in any way (a 4x skill BTW)?

    the phase cycle does not matter. phase is the position of the moon AND THE SUN in comparison to the earth. moon worship doesn't care about the sun, only whether the moon is above the horizon. it rises every seven rl hours.

    so at gm moon eater it's 3.7-ish hours rather than 3.5 (half a cycle).

    (the phase cycle is 70 minutes, changing about every 9. hence the lunar rifts. my guess without looking is a month is how long it takes to reach the same spot in the sky with the same phase.)

    Ok, so 7 real hours and not 28. How is 12.5 extra real minutes every 7 real hours worth GMing that skill? Why does this skill even exits?

    No other skills are as obviously worthless as Moon Eater.

    There are other skills that have never worked that are as worthless, but per the OP, moon eater seems to be worthless by design. An example of a worthless waste of training.... Hard headed at 113 skill will not block a stun from a level 3 kobald fighter who stuns you every time on first hit. Who has the time to critique all the these quirks for new folks to plan around? Is it a waste of dev time to request work to polish this stuff? I am resolved to just live with it hoping the major issues get fixed.
