    One of the things I've thought the game needed for the longest time is a larger variety of shop signs. So I know the dev team now has limited resources, but if you have someone that can make icons for you, it seems like something that can be done, and then you have the add-on store versions that will bring revenue to the game.

    Some of the already existing signs can work for a variety of purposes, but some are too general. Ideally, you want to be able to be more specific with signs to help players out. And the more signs you have the more you can stretch them for more purposes.

    This would help :
    - The player market, since it would be easier to identify what a shop is selling from a distance. This could later be used in any number of ways, like the game figuring out what shop signs are on a property then putting it on the map.
    - Player quests, because a quest might involve you being directed to see a certain person, who is identified with a vocation or profession.
    - The signs can also be used for non-market purposes inside buildings to direct players to things like: libraries, cellars, crypts, observatories, storerooms, offices. Lets face it, people don't read blank signs if there's no reason too, so a visual indication helps, and unfortunately the letter decorations aren't that pretty or immersion friendly.

    This can get infinitely specific. But some examples of useful categories include,
    Outfitter (Furniture and Decoration)
    Lapidary (Gems and Jewelry)
    Florist (Flowers)
    Shrubber (Plants and Trees)
    Apothecary (Potions and Reagents)
    Herbalist (Herbs)
    Scribe (Scrolls, Recipes, Patterns, or Paper, but not books)
    Grocer (Fruits and Vegetables)
    Provisioner (Bags, Backpacks, Barrels, Tents, Ropes, Saddles, etc)
    Beast-Master (Pets other than horses and other mounts)
    Peddler (Housewares; ie Pots, Pans, Mugs, Plates)
    Stonemason (Walls, Blocks, and Sculptures)
    Antiquarian (Artifacts, Sculptures, Rare Items and Books)
    Treasure-Seller (Rares and Treasures)
    Curio-Seller (Odds and Ends)
    Etc.

    Some icons that already exist in game which haven't been used as signs that can be repurposed.
    Skills:
    Subterfuge -> Thieves guild
    Taming (wolf) -> Non-horse pet seller
    Tactics -> Arena / training hall
    Focus -> Seer
    Virtues:
    Compassion (rose) -> Florist
    Honor (chalice) -> Dining hall, silversmith
    Justice (scales) -> Court, town magistrate
    Etc.

    Also some of the existing icons for magic and skills could be better used if there were versions outside of the outline on the icon showing its a skill. So for example, you have a skull outlined in a triangle, the triangle showing its death magic. But a skull could be used as a symbol of a crypt. Or an ankh outside of a triangle can be used as a symbol of a crypt, instead of life magic. You can have a moon outside a triangle as a symbol for an observatory.

    Ideally, what you would have is a whole library of icons that could be applied to signs, books, banners, etc. You don't want people to overuse the heraldry stuff, or rely on the ugly lettering.

    I would actually prefer shop signs that will take crafted letters where both the letters and the signs can be dyed.
