I do not like the bright colourful graphic, every time a spell is cast, I think it just litters-up and confuses the screen.

I think the fireball graphic was way too big also, more like a level 60 fireball. I just happen to be a fan of subtle.

I think the runic effects with spell casting was interesting and original. Helps make it a less generic casting experience

Yea not a fan of the sigil popping up for every cast. Hopefully we can turn that off, I was tired of it after like 4 casts.

Particles are also a very common thing to have user-defined. Either of the on/off variety or the off/low/medium/high variety.

Sounds like in this case the latter would be preferred.

WoW, I think you guys are right, let's have an OFF setting, so that no one needs all the cool graphics that overpower anyone's hardware/connection...

the sigil popping up was useful to detect at a distance that someone was casting a spell.

So I like that it's there so you can be like, oh, I'm being PK'd

I think it is very useful to have the graphical representation of the spell as it gives clues to the 'school of magic' being used - e.g. moon, sun, death so players can understand what is happening in PvP or co-op party play. Not so relevant in solo-play though, perhaps they could give an option to turn it off for those people.

Personally I really like it and hope they leave it on.

Regarding the size of the fireball, hopefully they will 'scale' the size depending on the level of the spell... e.g. if a player has allocated only 1 skill point to it, it should be a small ball of fire, vs a player who has it maxed out, then it should be impressive!

I actually enjoyed the sigil effects and can see how they can/will alert you on the type of spell the caster is ... casting. It is reminiscent of the words of power, just now a visual cue.

    **Carlin beat me lol**

Did not think of it in that context. A very good point indeed.
