Hi alls, i'm here to show you how to get better and immersive first person point of view in Shroud of the Avatar and ask to developers to implement this as an option in game, the standard first person pov is poor of detail, not immersive at all also after new changes, too much zoomed in and with a low field of view.

I've reached the goal to get a very good first person view in game by following steps:

1)Set in third person and zoom in to max
2)Press V two times to get first person and another time to come back to third, the head will became invisible
3)Equip another weapon from inventory and the trick is done (You can see the result in attached video)

    Alternative with reduced FOV:
    1)Go in first person
    2)Unequip your item
    3)Equip again

Why it's better than standard first person view?
    Less Zoom
    Improved immersion
    Visible weapon (Finally)
    Greater FOV
    Virtual Reality friendly
    Beautiful and detailed spell animation
    Better effects and feedback
    More Enjoynable
It's already in game just need to be implemented
    Optional
None will get any benefit or takes advantage from that
    Locked Camera option makes sense
Sometimes skeletons from the dark can make you jump on your chair

I hope developers will implement that in this way, to finally help all of us that love immersion, roleplay and virtual reality, or atleast don't fix this way to get this. Thanks.

Looks good. I think Chris said while ago that they are not going to add proper first person view, but this sounds doable since it's already there. FOV in default first person view is so low that it gives me motion sickness in few minutes. @Chris @DarkStarr

Update: It works like a charm also with standard first person view (Obviously with reduced fov but same result), just need to unequip and equip a weapon, shield or items.

    All we need is that:
Developers just have to make permanent visible weapons and items without need to unequip/equip , nothing is easier.

For now it's my primary camera mode, i'm playing all the time with that pov and i'm not getting bored of it.
I showed that thing to my friends from Mortal and Eso and they are really excited, finally they're coming here.:D

I'm unsure if I can spot the difference, and am at work currently.. :D
Which video is the one you've found to be better?

In both video is the one with greatest field of view (first method). With 4:3 resolution obviously the first with greater fov is a must, with a good 2k 16:9 screen you would appreciate also the alternative mode, it's the same just zoomed in, so less fov.

Update: Best way to avoid problem with spells like Stealth or Shield of Crystal and for a clear visual is that:

    1)Go in First person
    2)Unequip/Equip gloves, tools and weapon

It's the best way cause like that you can avoid common graphics problems like semivisible character while sneaking etc that happens in the largest fov view.

Right now easiest thing for developers is to make gloves, tools and weapon permanent visible.
I'm sure they will put that in next patch, many of us want that.

After that in the future for a near perfection first person view ,best try can be to add a fov option in menù and make also only visible arms in chest when in first person view.

I'm testing also with chest armor, arms seems to work very well, the only problem i've found is sometimes the cloak.

This is so cool! Can't believe I saw this for the first time.

There are too many steps for me though, I'm lazy like that. Hope the devs implement something like that.

I also hope that fast pace midi music become a thing in SotA. :p

is this confirmed that it no longer works? If so that is a shame, it looked like what I have been looking for as well :)

Sadly yes, when you're in first person now after last release there is no chance to make visible gloves/weapons.
