My 36-40 hour decay feedback

    This is a short video after coming back from over a day away from play. I did not notice any horrible losses, very minimal.
    Not a game breaker by any means. Cant wait to see how they improve it.. Keep it up Team!

    It's interesting though, the proposed changes seem to just... be what is happening now?
    That is, Chris said it will just remove XP from the pool instead of lowering the skill, but that's what people are seeing now, isn't it?
    Or am I misunderstanding?

    No, at the moment it comes out of the skills progression bar, not the pool. With the changes it will also mean gustball macro'ers will get hit by decay more than people actually killing stuff also.

    Ah ha! So it will deplete the big bar, rather than the little bar... Alrighty then. :|

    Sure, but the way things are now, playing with more than a single skill active [​IMG] is... well, counter productive, in my opinion. If you don't want to waste your time, at least.

    I noticed that once I starting getting minimal gains off the elves in Greymark I moved to Spectral Mountains which boosted my xp pool decently. I usualy have 3-6 skills working, And I do about an hour of social killing I call it, where I have no skills to build up my pool some, so a larger % is put into each skill per use.

    LMAO where did he say about losing anything from the Experience bar - don't read into it, you will lose exp from the skills small bar, not the exp pool LMAO

    If i understood correctly, What was said is that the skills set to "mantain" will compensate their decay by taking XP from the XP pool instead of acumulating decay. That way when you unlock a skill it's not hit with the decay two handed hammer. So decay will still affect to the progression bar of each skill, but mantained skills will automatically "gain" from the xp pool to compensate for the decay they are acumulating.

    Let's see how all this turns out.

    Agreed. I'm not sure if it is going to do the trick, but it is entirely possible that taking directly from the total pool will mitigate a number of the issues we currently have.
