Well after a lot of tinkering trying to use to much for the in game world to see, I decided to go a lot simpler. I think all the rules are met with this one.

Or is this one fixed enough to be useable?

Oh, Saint Teresa of Avila, save me from fimbriation.

Saying no fimbriation seems easier to say than being sarcastic about it and for people to understand. One of the reasons why I made it a bit thicker is so it can be visable. If no fimbriation is allowed let me know so I can produce a CoA without it.

    Thanks.

    Lord Artia,
Your first COA was better. Less is more in this case. The only thing that would need to change on the first example is the fimbriation around the skull. Fimbriation should only be used to cheat at a violation of the color on color /metal on metal rule.

Cool, but I like the SotA sun version better with maybe a slightly smaller skull, it looks more menacing. What do you think of the above?

and I was just looking at the arms for Invidia, will need to clarify if the field division and color change of the field is enough of a difference.

This one is the sota sun still with a smaller skull and no fimbriation. I think there is enough difference in those two cases.

Sorry for the short delay...was trying to figure out what you did...made the sun huge. The problem I have is trying to blazon that, keeping in mind I am not an expert at blazon. The dark sanguine portion would not be a charge as it extends to the edge of the arms, so it would have to be either a field description, or an ordinary (an ordinary is sort of a exceptional charge). Give us a bit to confer.

Any way I can get this added as a charge to use to make it more unique?

Understood. Actually the sun was increased in size only a very little bit. It does not touch the edges, however it is metal on metal but charge on division.

I spoke with Grant and then spoke with Artia a bit on TS3.... fimbriating the sun will be needed. we will also need you sovereigns to vote on the new skull as well.

It's gyronny of 8 sable and sanguine charged with a sanguine sun and the sable skull.

Traditional heraldry wouldn't allow it. I've no longer any gauge on what the position of the college might be.

Personally, I like the per pale version that Ronan posted.

The skull...where did the image come from? I need to be able to determine if it is public domain or not.

Artia confirmed it was public domain cause he was working on doing it himself.... it is also his tattoo....

This is basically what I am looking to do. May add a charge or change colors a little bit from the Grants blazon site though. Just noticed a lot of charges have similar ones like it, and this would add another skull to the charge list.

You were verging on something decent... but now you've slid back down into craptacular.
Heraldry is meant to be seen at a distance... The lack of contrast between the sanguine and the black makes the central charge an indistinct blob. This is only exacerbated by the contrast with the Gold on the Gyronny.
