My face is still blue!

I couldn't stand my character's face always being blue so I deleted him and started over. I chose the second skin color because it looked fine in the character creator...

So I returned to the mirror and selected a darker color. Not because I wanted my character to be darker, but because I didn't want him to be blue.

lol I'm not seeing the blue but fyi as said in the telethon the character updates won't be for a while.

In the first photo everything looks blue. I think its just your video settings.

The fires around that area are blue and they're casting blue light. Turn around and face the sun like she is and you'll look a bit warmer.

Arabella isn't blue. If I face the same direction as her, I am still blue and she isn't.

 

What would you call the color in the square swatch located beside my characters head?

 

Beat me to the Effel 65 song. How could you forget the #25 top MTV video of 1999 . I have it in my phone lol. That's the year I started driving and it was almost constantly playing on the radio.

 

Do other players see your face as being blue? If so, then it is a bug. If not, it is probably your video card.

 

Yeah but I don't think the NPCs use the same multi sectional model as our characters do. I believe they are solid models with painted skins, similar to deco. Did you leave the starting area and check your color in Soltown to make sure its not the environment?
Let us know.

Anyone know if existing characters can get back to the starting area? If so we could just pop in and test our own toons.

 

I'm on a totally different PC than when I first started complaining about this.

 

My previous, currently deleted character was in Resolute when I deleted him out of frustration with the blue tint to my skin. NPCs had a much more natural skin tone. It's something with the lighting or maybe the players characters diffuse map.

Just a small note. You don't need to delete the avatar to change your looks.

There are "new you" in the mayor cities where you can change your looks completely, for the fashionable price of 5 crowns.
Ardoris new you is down by the docks in the other side of Digit's magic shop.
Brittany central is if you stand at the docks in the central lane and head towards the castle it's halfway up the hill and on the left hand.

 

well just because I joked about this doesn't mean I don't see work needs done on our characters, sorry if it was at your expense, not intended. I was trying to lighten up the mood for no character updates for a while. I am a huge supporter of our characters looking their best which is what my signature is in representation of. I have done many posts on requesting character updates and upgrades and finally we did get some, believe me, they did look far worse, yikes. IMO I feel Atm we have other things that need to be worked on, but I was by no means trying to invalidate your thread, just having some fun with you all in our times of waiting and waiting for what each one of us wants to see coming in this game, I totally have a huge wish list

 

That second picture, you sure have a blueness to your face, friend me in game, id like to see you in person to verify this. As my guy doesn't have the blue look as you do. Id like to know if I look that way to you as well.. Same name in game.

 

Well. I've found the cause. There's an invisible blue light source that follows my player character. This is why my face appears to be bluer than Arabelle and other NPCS. Here's a screenshot of the light being visible on a wall in front of me. The light can be seen anytime I'm near any object. Please make the light optional or neutral colored.
