@Berek :Is doing explorations on terrain (like climbing the Ardoris aquaduct) considered as an exploit ?
I am talking about cases when there are no in-game barriers (e.g. Invisible walls), just miscalculation / assumptions of in-game physics by the map designer.
Would getting safe vantage point for ranged attack by using climbable locations considered an exploit (e.g. designer apparently intended close combat, found safe ranged attack spot) ?

 

Are you referring to PvE combat here ? In that case, it is considered a bug.

The game should not allow you to incur damage on a creature who cannot attack back. You should in fact end up continuously doing "0" damage until you get down off the perch.


Using that position repeatedly and not reporting it would indeed be considered an exploit under the "Working around gameplay" portion I would expect.

 

Those are exploits. Bannable? Maybe not. But ones that would get fixed. Seen far too many cases exactly like this in too many games over the past 17 years. Depending on what you would get out of repeatedly doing said exploit, it MAY be bannable. Especially if it became wide spread usage and rewards for zero risk was way up there.

 

Not on R32. You can get on rocks and kill wolves with arrows. I thought "wow ! they removed that ridiculous immunity against proper tactics!" (there's more proper way to address this issue than introducing immunity).

EDIT : I just checked the QA server, and they have corrected that circumstance back to what I originally stated. You should not be able to incur damage while on an unreachable perch in future releases.

Oh bummer. They should be doing proper way (introduce special hate points that cause various bad-stuffs, instead of immunity).

 

will there be a list of things we can say or do in the game? Or a list of what is forbidden. Can we get a list of names that we can and cannot use? I would hate to get charged 25 bucks to rename a toon if it was wrong according to portalariums rules, which are vague right now.

Agree with what? I asked a question and expressed nothing to indicate whether I was for or against Vendor names being advertisements.
