To my knowledge, at the moment the only restriction is "solo/party", so it won't block a formed party from entering such a zone.

As soon as a member leaves the party, he/she's teleported outside, or in another instance. Happened yesterday in Epitaph - another solo/party-only zone.

One of the problems that I had with this is that an earth Elemental is within agro range of Nyx, which makes talking to Nyx essentially impossible without killing the Earth Elemental. Luckily I was in a party and we managed to kill the elemental so we could follow the dialog. :p That mob is going to need to be repositioned if this instance is going to go Solo only.

That should be reported as a bug. The elementals in Necropolis are supposed to be off the "main" path and not required to kill to complete the sequence.

So these story-based scenes aren't single player only then or is it is a bug that you can currently enter it with a party?

    Some scenes are solo only.

@Lum - I don't believe there is an in game indicator of this, other than two people enter a scene and you no longer see each other. Can we get a UI message when you enter a solo scene?

Hello! Ehm... I can't seem to be able to leave the Necropolis. I started playing a few days ago and i followed the main questline and ended up at the Necropolis. Everything inside is a lot stronger than me and when i try to leave the door says "The spirits will not let you leave". Anyone know how I can leave to a town?

I had the same problem as a ghost. If you turn off your game and log back in, you should be able to enter the game from the overland map. That will get you out of the Necropolis.

    That's a very particular area.

You're not supposed to fight everything. Actually, for the hardest parts, the "run ahead at breakneck speed" may be the wisest course of action. Mobs won't chase you (much). Be sure to talk with everyone, be carful NOT to angry the spirits, be mindful that the real exit is at the end of the dungeon, past the goal of your journey there, and that leads you away from the entrance. It's an one-way underneath the mountains.

That's quite different from a typical quest area.

    Thank you Mata! :)

    Katarina,
I figured as much when I explored the Necropolis as a ghost, I got to a barred gate where I could se
a throne room which I guess is the end.
I tried the sprint tactic but I only have about 200 health and once I got stuck in spiderwebs they more or less ganged up 4-5 big spiders vs me and killed me before i got loose. Also I can out of reagents for my stronger spells.

I will try and find some other quests before I return, although the whole Necropolis story line kind of fit well with my semi-rp backstory of being a necromancing alchemist!

I like this. I really like the idea of a gameworld where there are things too challenging for a player, and things too challenging for even the most robust group of players. Its kind of lame when were all gods.

Nothing wrong with recognizing it, and "tactically retreating" past that portion of the dungeon/zone/town-under-siege/etc.

Had the same issue as with Morathi. Surely this quest, available so early to a low level player is not scheduled to be left like this? A quest where the only way to get out is either by exit game, re-enter in novia or a non-obvious "just run through it but get stuck by spiders and die"??

Doesn't seem well planned out at all. Either make available later to a character that can survive the quest or allow a graceful exit from Necropolis. Or make it more obvious (and feasible) that it's a run for your life to complete it. If that's truly the answer to completing this one, that has some serious lackluster.

My hopes are this isn't officially completed (?)
