Need Friends

if you need friends in game just go afk on the world map i just did this and recieved 3 friends request!.... I wonder if they are going to be real friends or those fake facebook type friends who never really talk to you and just use you for your location. lol

did you get any message or just a request - reply and find out what they want, I have gotten to ignoring people who want the "Dynamic Runebook"

 

Im a big fan of the "decline" option in those situations :-D

its doesnt bother me, i just think its funny how we have to friend people to recall around instead of just makeing a marking system.

actually was not really intended to be that way just they could not make a viable system to prevent it.

 

anyone can add me and I'll talk to you anytime too. It isn't all about being someones teleport and if it is then I really could care less. I'm ok in my own skin This is the teleport/quick travel system we have for now. I just click ok to any requests I get without giving it another thought.

 

I wish it was this easy to make friends in real life too.

I always accept friend requests. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

 

Aah now I understand why so many users are randomly friend requesting me.... I feel abused!.

 

I only wish we could tag and filter our friends list. I really would like to have separate lists for "real" friends (= people I hang out with occasionally) and mere teleport spots that I never even talked to. My friends list is getting somewhat long (which is good, because I hate walking through passes, and I hate waiting for those lunar rifts to go to the right destination).

If you open your friends list you can add comments to them.

So if I get a random one I write
Date+?tb?
Where tb stands for teleport buddy.

While if I have interacted with them I try to write some other note.

 

I do the same, Spoon, but sadly there is no way to filter or sort the friends list according to these notes, so they are only moderately useful.

 

I don't like the teleport to friend feature. I much prefer runebooks. Nearly everyone I've spoken with agrees.

 

Yes many of us agree but this is what we have for now and we are lucky to have it with so much going on ATM. I loved rune books and marking places, and gates that higher level mages could open up too

 

I actually think that we will have runebooks or some equivalent, eventually. I think the idea was resisted at first but the devs usually try to find a creative way to give us what we want.
