[Needs Info] Place cloak on wall in player owned house disappeared

I attempted to hang a Meretz Cloak on wall of my house and it simply disappeared. It's not on the wall, upstairs, on floor, outside or in inventory.
I've never previously had an item disappear into the ether when trying to place in house.

 

I had this happen this release as well. I placed an item (a sword I believe) on an interior wall. It disappeared when placed. Amazingly, I was able to grab it from the wall and get it back. I had not yet moved my mouse - there was no indication that there was an item there, but because I did not move I think I got really lucky.

Not sure how else to describe, or if can reproduce at will.

own a house
have equipment already hanging on wall
attempt to hang cloak or sword on wall between existing wall decorations.
item disappears (though may still be there)
