Nerf Envy Bow

There is another silver lining to this bow. Look at how a few people banned together to get a bow nerfed in under a week. I would like to petition the few people who are able to make a form post and get a change done in under a week to please make a form post about the ridiculous RNG that comes with crafting specifically master working and enchanting. Please I am but a peasant here and do not have such powers. Thank you for your consideration.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize and correct, for the sake of truth, something not correct I wrote during the thread:

The player who has the first place in the shroudbert ranking has not passed from the 25th place to 1st but from the 10th to 1st place.
Also I made sure that specifically the envy bow was not part of his arsenal, from the various inspects seemed to use xen, accuracy and other things but not the envy bow.

it is there it is called a thorn bow and soon the Dark thorn bow we do NOT need another patter of the Thorn Bow.

Edited sorry the Envy bow is significantly smaller should actually be a short bow NOT long, but. . . .

Perhaps make an item that truly is unique with working properties before it is introduced, recoloring patterns and adding items that are broken from the start, with not dropping, to overpowered, to useless, is a bad patern that is becoming the expected norm.

I read it and still bought one.... still not sure what the upside is, since being an archer I don't count aggro boost as a POSITIVE thing... But I like its looks, and I needed a replacement anyway

 

as an archer i'm also not a fan of aggro. I'll hold off, since i have a thorn bow already and for 100K i'll stick with my +13. Too bad about those sweet, sweet crits though.

I'm upset I didn't use the term "envious" in my first post in the thread-- hindsight and all that stuff. I hate it when I mess up a joke.

 

The joke now is an envy bow nobody is envious of.

 

FYI - on the stream Chris did today, he said the bow will eventually be about 10% less effective than the "Xen Bow" - and the drop rate is 1/31 .

 

Honestly, what bums me the most is I never got around to trying out the Rise with it. Mighta been fun to give those elven archers a taste of their own medicine for a bit.

 

Considering you don't get an attack speed bonus and have to be 20% closer to a target to hit it, isn't it already there?

Semantics aside, what does that mean... 8-24 rather than 9-27 base damage?

 

I wouldn't mind if it did the same damage as a crafted bow, had an even shorter range, but still had a low STR bonus instead of very low. Or give it an 7-26 and a very low STR bonus and a shorter range. It hits harder, but you gotta get in close to do it.

 

Can someone point me to where Chris outlined what it is he changed last night? Because I feel like it negatively affected my bow damage when not using the envy bow.

Edit: I should clarify: I use a dex build and now I feel like I'm getting pretty much all minimum hits. Not that I was critting like a madman before, but now it seems super rare.
