Title: Network lost after entering scene.
    Reproduction Rate: 100%
    Blocker? Yes.
Details: After entering a scene, I immediately get the network icon and then, after a bit, I'll be kicked with the message "[PELICAN] Network congestion caused a disconnection from the game service."
    Steps to Reproduce: See "Details".

Getting this too. Happens in just about every scene -- tested maybe 20 of them because the only thing I was able to do was to walk around the Novia overland map... There were a couple of presumably empty POTs and PRTs where this did not happen, but in 90% of them was not able to play at all.

Getting this largely today trying to load into, and running around, Soltown.

    Same problem here...
Also a linux ubuntu 64 bit user...

The 32 bit client might not have this issue... Of course the 32 bit client crashes at random when entering/leaving scenes... so not much of an improvement.

As a work around I get into the zone I want to play using the 64 bit client, then I exit. Then I launch the 32 bit client and resume in the zone.

If I try to get into the game with the 32 bit client when I'm not currently in a zone, then the client just crashes.

TLDR: today's patch broke the 64 bit client and I'm so desperate to play that I'm willing to jump through hoops of jumping back and forth between 64/32 bit clients.

Nope. Windows 10. And except for last night, and first few hours after wipe, I've been getting this constantly daily.

Edit: Both before and after the "Anniversary Update".

The 32 bit Linux client doesn't have this issue but it runs out of memory and crashes, so either way, I can't play.

As a work around, party up with someone and have them enter a zone first. Then jump in to the same zone. But leave the zone before they do if you return to the world map... I was able to play for a little bit using the 64 bit client this way.

me as well, using linux 64-bit. failed in owl's head and west ravenswood, but not stinging tree hollow (which has all of five things in it right now). 32-bit client works for west ravenswood. i'm not gonna get ambitious with trying owl's head.

OK, using the 32 bit Linux client and setting the graphics to fastest (to minimize the impact on memory) seems to be the work-around, for now.

[edit] Still crashes going into Britanny though.

Apparently you just need at least one other player in the same zone. I played online multiplayer for a while and as long as there was one other person in the zone I didn't get dropped. Unfortunately, the moment the other player leaves you get the problem.

Edit: Forgot to mention, this is using the 64 bit client.

Looks like this hypothesis might be correct. I don't know how single-player instances are constructed, but even in larger cities playing in SP mode leads to an inevitable network issue + crash, whereas multiplayer mode is fine.

I did encounter another person in Eastreach Gap, while having the network issue, this would speak against the hypothesis, however it's quite possible that he entered the scene after me (so it was empty before that, when I entered). Eastreach Gap is one of those places where the network issue does not usually lead to a crash, you just cant open any gate, and leaving the scene just locks up the client, so one needs to kill the process (with for example " killall -I -r 'shroud of the avatar' ").

    @Chris, @Attenwood, @DarkStarr, this is extremely bad:

One just can't have clients crashing constantly, not being able to pass control points, not even being able to visit many scenes, in the middle of the land rush, when many folks are trying to make their own lot reservations.

Please make it your top priority to fix this. Thank you.

Title: disconnection from the game service
    Reproduction Rate: 100% when alone
Blocker? yes, can't do anything but roam the world map
Details: whenever entering a scene, network issue icon appears in top left, then after a while "[PELICAN] Network congestion caused a disconnection from the game service." seems to always appear; when in a party, happens less often.
Steps to Reproduce: just enter a scene while not in a party
    User Specs:
    OS: Linux 4.6 ManjaroLinux 16.06.1 64bit
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core Processor (8) System RAM: 16047 (I tried oc @4.0 and stock)
    GPU: Gallium 0.4 on AMD BONAIRE (DRM 2.43.0 / 4.6.4-1-grsec-kvm-host, LLVM 3.8.0) GPU RAM: 1024 (I tried a radeon r7 360 also)
    SotA.EarlyAccess.Linux.64.454.Date.08.02.16
    Area: Novia
    Loc: (440.6, 12.5, -307.0)

And I'll also add that the launcher is horrible. It rarely can update on this machine (since 441, only the 453->454 update worked), but on an intel i7 5820K machine, it works fine so far, and then I can rsync from there. And randomly it appears with wrong dimensions (like 18000x400 on a 1920x1080 monitor, or 600x10 and then I have to force resize with the kde override feature). And the framerate is about 2-5 in multiplayer and 30 or so in friends-only mode in linux with radeon driver... wtf. And in windows or linux with amdgpu driver it's always 2-5. I also tried a r7 360 in windows and linux with same results except it's as good with amdgpu as it is with radeon in linux. (the i7 machine also has a r7 360 and gets high fps always...) (lots of people say the game sucks with the amd FX-8xxx processors). And I think probably 441 or so would not have the network issue, but had all the rest so I didn't really fully test it... and I only figured out that radeon+linux+friends-only mode worked after 450something. And I tested a stock kernel with the other issues but not the network one... pointless since others report the same on any distro. And also a very long time ago when I first tested SotA, it worked much better, also far faster in linux than windows, and playable but not good (didn't try friends-only).

Ha! Another manjaro user! Two now!

I'm not seeing the problems you are, but I'm not using either amd or kde.

Suffering this since 3rd. August. I'm relogging into the scenes not entering from World Map, but otherwise details are the same.
