There is no "proc going off" in this game.

So it sounds like the weapon enchantment is completely independent from what the caster/wielder has for glyph skill.
That makes the gem effects ... less attractive, for sure.

So I spent some more time testing this today, and I think attunement does play a role. I tested this on the same mob, a large skeleton at wynton's folly, using the same wands at four different attunements. Basically, I stood there and auto attacked with my wand until it had hit with the banish 6 times and recorded the results. I did this four times at each attunement, disregarding crit hits as this is more a factor of other abilities and not the banish itself.

    This is what I found:
At 23 attunement, my average damage was 10.6 per banish undead
At 42 attunement, my average damage was 8.5 per banish undead
At 112 attunement, my average damage was 18.25 per banish undead
At 132 attunement, my average damage was 18.9 per banish undead

Not MUCH difference, but still measurable, when comparing very high attunements to very low ones.

One note about the crits: at higher levels, they were hitting pretty good, I saw some as high as 64, but more around 40. It's still not something I would bother with using wands or a staff, but with a sword that I would be swinging anyway, it could be a nice little boost.

I hate to say, but this is likely well within the margin of error. The range on the damage seems to include all of those results. The only way to test for sure would require hundreds of proc results on a single mob, or for @Chris to come by and let us know.

Probably, yah. The sample size is small, I know, only 24 hits at each attunement. Just that took me a couple of hours, and I did not want to spend all day on something that hits for so little in the first place. I can tell you that I saw larger numbers at higher attunements. The largest hit at 23 attunement was 18. At 42 it was 16. At 112 it was 32, and at 132 attunement the biggest hit was 30. They were definitely trending upwards. I would love to hear from @Chris on this.

Thank you for spending that time margaritte, and para said the same thing. I really did not test this myself, I was spending all my time upping my masterwork skills, and now I am doings tests about damage avoidance. I made a meteoric plate set with avoidance on each piece, and just finished getting glancing blow and dig in to gm. I was able to reach 62 damage res and 69% avoidance with buffs with glancing in the 50's and dig in being at 12.

The crafter does not need to know the glyph in order to enchant it to an item. Confirmed by enchanting blind onto a two handed sword.

You have it if you put the gems socketed in the chest piece before you enchant.

do not understand was this a question? the crafter never needed to know the spell tree you just have to Gem Socket before enchanting and higher the enchanting skill the more / diefferent the spells.

Someone should do a breakdown like this for the armor benefits.

Life enchants for rings, necklaces, and armor:

5% increase in banish undead effectiveness.
    1% mend chance.

I am unaware as to what the mend chance is. I have taken hundreds of hits and deadly hundreds of blows while wearing a necklace and ring both with this enchant and absolutely nothing has shown in the combat log.

Sounds like they're changing all of these enchant and proc effects without putting any of the changes in the patch notes. Bad times.
I guess the whole "communication transparency during development" only counts and gets used when it benefits Portalarium, not the customers testers.

Yeah, there needs to be a "10% Chance on Cast to Cast", so mages can get a double-cast or spell recursion effect.

This list is from r32. There has been many additions in r33. You can now get gem abilities on chest armor and jewelry. I dont have a complete list of them yet.
