What Nvidia driver version are you using? Have you updated that?

You could also temporarily disable your security product and see if it's blocking.

The error is in DirectX, so make sure you have all Windows Updates installed, and the latest Nvidia drivers.

If you are using Steam, also do a full file check to make sure no files are corrupt.

Nvidia drivers updated to latest. It required two windows updates for the Nvidia installer to work.
Thought at first that might have solved it ... but still crashes just after 99% when a game shield appears.
Have always tried to keep W7 on my gaming PC as streamlined as possible. ( if it aint broke dont fix it ) .
Runs DCS, WoW, ETS2, EveOnline as slick as a slick thing.
Guess times move on and Ill need to update W7.... but ill stick pins in my eyes before updating to W10 :)
Thanks for the advice so far. Here's hoping.

Yeah I know how you feel about Windows 10. A lot of us hated to upgrade but now you can make your windows 10 be a lot more like windows 7. See link below. We do have to go forward to play our games as true gamers. We must sacrifice the old for the new way too often but in the long run it's all about the ability to try games to see which are for us. Good luck on your journeys. Go Gamers Go.

BiNgO ! ... All is working fine!

So for those who may follow with the same problem
As I said I run a slim Windows 7 install on my games PC. I don't update unless there's an issue.
    1. I installed latest GFX drivers. ( For me this also required two Windows updates )
    2. Searched Windows 7 updates that related to DX11 and came up with Platform Update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 (KB2670838).
    This did the trick.
    Game is flying .....
Thanks to all the advice pointing me in the right direction.
    Stay safe.
