    Just discovered Shroud a week ago and am really enjoying it. Having played several of the older games this one feels like it fits in. Question, as someone that smokes a tobacco pipe I was thrilled to find pipes in the game. Do any mods or devs here on the board know if Garriott smokes a pipe? Is this the reason for the detail? If not, what was the inspiration I wonder?

    I've never heard of or seen him smoke ever.
    Pipe smoking is basically a standard fantasy trope.

    Welcome fellow pipe smoker and avatar! I don't think he smokes in any fashion, but I do know he enjoys rum and coke; having shared a few with him, @Sean Silverfoot and @rild during the SotA Convention in 2016! :)
