New player only a few hours in

    Ouch on the timing of your trial!

    Re: the overworld map, adding friends is your friend. Most of us teleport all over the place and don't hit the world map that often. You can teleport to people on your friends list who are in the same area.

    The problem is you're probably not in an area with anyone but new players. My suggestion is to watch the forums and then hit up an event. Dance party, fashion show, casino night, fishing derby, crafter tutoring, happy hour, Christmas party, grand opening, etc. Friend everyone there. Boom, you can now teleport all over the place and skip the overworld most of the time.
