    Hi everyone!

A new community focused Holdfast has been included (bought) and is looking for community minded people looking to be part of a player-ran town that will be holding events, celebrations, Famers Markets, and more! We are planning on giving this Holdfast a Celtic theme as much as we can.

This community will be the home base of the Celtic Order of Druids and Bards (1 structure planned) BUT we are looking for others to join in the fun. Including another guild or two.

Please keep in mind that we are in the planning stages but there will be a few open village spots and maybe 2 Row House spots opening up. We will need to flush the details with Portalarium yet but will try to get a place that is perfect for the inner-nature lover in you.

Right now we have reserved 4 properties lined up with possibly 6 available. We will not be charging you money or gold to place your village/row house lot and house here (you supple them and the spot is FREE). We only as that you help contribute to the Holdfast by participating in town events, town crafting , town celebrations, the town farmer's market, etc. We may ask for a small donation of gold from time to time help enhance the holdfast. We want this to be a community for you and all of the citizens of New Britannia.

There will be Central Square with 1 NPC owned building and 8-10 expert crafting stations available that will be set up for everyone's use (Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Tailoring, Cooking, Alchemy, Smelting, Milling, Textiles, Tanning, Butchery).

Player owned buildings in planning include:
    - SotA Museum in-game (www.sotamuseum.com)
    - Crafting area with public access expert crafting tables
    - Publishing/Printing company showcasing the stories on the citizens who live here
    - Barn/Stable
    - Lighthouse (maybe)

Grab a Guinness (or your favorite beverage) and think about the possibilities.

    Thank you for your time.
    Duke Greagoir.

Yes. We have determined the main plot sizes. There will be a few open village spots and *maybe* 2 Row House lots (8 row houses total) opening up.

I do not have a name yet. For a placeholder lets call it "Celtic Holdfast". The final name will be along the lines of the location in the old Celtic languages of Irish and/or Scottish.

I'd be interested in a row/village lot depending on my final Lord/Lord Marshall pledge. I love the idea of a place to get away when not at my Lordly House in the City.

Understanding that what we all want/like may change in the next 6 months. I would expect to contribute to whatever area I end up playing in.

It hadn't even occurred to me initially that people with two lot deeds (such as Lords) can put their larger lot with priority placement in an NPC town and park the NPC vendor there. Then they can also grab a row lot in a player town to be a part of that community as well. Unexpected synergy!

Ya...so many exciting benefits to player towns...I bought one so I could add my village lot as a backyard to my Town lot for gardening. Also, to help my friends/family get lots for their homes without any fears or land rush stress :)

The Celtic Holdfast sounds great! I can just imagine sitting there with a stout in my hand, listening to Celtic music, doing a bit of fishing in the stream, and writing my next fish song/poem in a book for publication! And wandering through the museum! This will be wonderful!

Congratulations on the Holdfast and great ideas! I really like your themed approach.

Best of luck to you with this idea. I'm certainly keen to visit and establish a trade link with your town. :)

One of the many ideas I've had is to create a map of all the vendors in SOTA. It might not be easy to accomplish but it might be possible to do something simpler: e.g. take the overland hex map of SOTA and populate it with vendor meta-data. It wouldn't have the resolution I'd ultimately desire but it would be a great tool. If I knew that you had plenty of fish while we had a deficit of fish then I can see there being a great need to visit. Just some current thinking.

Would you be looking for an inn keeper? I would like to establish a tavern to help provide a common area for people to congregate, rest, and those without a current home.

I can not speak for my Guild Leader, but my entire WoW guild of Pif Silvergate is transferring to SoTA and were planning to have chapter houses in various locals.

I myself am looking to upgrade my pledge for a knight marshall, so would be interested in a Town Plot if still available.

What about goat cheese and goat milk? Do you plan to reside near mountains?

We only have a few village spots and row house spots that are not reserved. Unfortunately, no Town spots.

Thank you for considering our Celtic Holdfast.
