Yeah but that's the point of having them public, to get people onto your property. If everyone has them, then there's no point on leaving your house to visit someone else's, which will hurt those people sacrificing lawn space in order to sell crafting materials to those people.

Well lets see... the top 10% have definitely put in more money than the rest of the 90% of backers have... Try again... It would take over 160 people to buy / contribute the game to match what I have put into the game..

Yeah, I gotta admit, I bought a vendor for $125 a while back. Kinda annoyed now.

Look, buying anything in this game, you're dealing with risk. There has never, ever been anything saying that CF Vendors are exclusive to pledges or bundles. The wayback machine shows that there was no such promise. So yes, it does suck for you that you bought those yesterday when they were in limited availability and now today they aren't. But there was never a guarantee they would remain in limited availability, so it was a risk you took. It's just unfortunate timing. It's not much different than if I bought $1000 of stock in Theranos last week and found out this week it was going bankrupt. I took a risk, and unfortunately, things did not go my way.

Have to agree... very bad move.

They made us accept we wouldn't get our single player ultima 5-7 successor... to change it for this virtual collector medieval sims.

Should own up to your choices and do things right port. And to people saying they haven't told us they didn't want to devalue such items before, HAH.

It's a major point of the game as it is. People do take risks on some materials, value can change... but some things are set in stone and its not a matter of taking a risk anymore : its a matter of trusting portalarium. Lets say this is like a collectible...

I buy a limited edition coin, 5 years later they decide to print the exact same.

How do you think I feel ?

Exclusive or not, if the choice is to sell this stuff to anyone who will buy it or shutting down and discontinuing the game, I take the former.

They never said that... its pure speculation. The game is not shutting down... I don't understand the move at all. I think @dallas is the one making those decisions, CMIIW.

do you know people have been saying the economic system would completely crash for hundreds of years ? AFAIK its still running even if there was a few crisis...

Is there a post that has been made about this game being shut down? I ask hecause I have just returned and that would be a shame indeed.... *ponders*

I think it would have been smart to do the crafting stations and commission free vendors for a stretch goal

No, there has been nothing like that. In fact @Chris specifically covered this in a previous live stream. They are not broke or going broke, and even if they had to massively scale back, the servers cost little to maintain and they have enough cash flow to be sustainable. But they'd like to have a greater cash flow so they can do more things.

You know @dallas is no longer a dev on this team. He was one of the many on the team that is gone.

Exactly. It's a risk. I trusted Portalarium. Now they did this. Do you expect me to keep trusting them like before?

I'm not sure the outcome of Theranos is really what you want here, turns out they committed securities fraud. At least some lawsuits have been filed, some settled.

I certainly wouldn't give Elizabeth Holmes any money.

I wonder if having a firesale on formally exclusive items is a better strategy than just making the gameplay fun and rewarding at any point in the past few years.

I am okay with CF vendors being easily available. I am annoyed that they are now a third of the price they were usually selling for in the forums.
