When can we expect to see some physics calculations for falling? It's kind of funny that you can jump from the highest tower of a castle and not take any damage whatsoever.

I'm pretty sure it's coming.... I was just wondering when. Seems like an important game mechanic? Maybe even more important than putting silly new widgets in the online store.

Dose anyone remember in UO the Brit training grounds there?

They had a hill there some in the early days of UO were calling "Healer Hill". It was a small cliff in the training grounds where a player could hurt themselves by jumping off from it and then heal up & replete in a training grind to improve the healing skill.

I'm not sure that gravity is the same here in new Britannia as it is on earth, but it will be interesting to see whenever they do have damage (if we have damage) from falling  and will falling be an exploitable way of training healing skill here? Or is there something about our planet's gravity we don't yet understand o_O?
    Strange Science

Falling as an exploit is no different to drinking a poison potion using magic, duelling lots of ways to grind they just have to make sure a big fall kills.
In LotRo a fall causes you to hear a crack and your movement speed is slowed bigger the fall longer the slowdown lasts.

Maybe a max amount of increase per day to certain skill training. LotRo (again) fishing you could gain a max of between 10 to 12 per day but they had a 200 top limit, this was classed as an hobby skill so anyone could do. Maybe some skills classed as hobbies so it does not impact on the base 700 skill limit.
Fishing is really a gathering skill if they are used by cooks.
