[Not a bug] Meretz Rewards - used to be able to sell - not any more

I've been playing for 1/2 year now and regularly collect Meretz reward potions. I usually sell them as it helps keep my head above water. But the last couple weeks all the Meretz rewards I collected at the bank are red font - which I've come to learn means I can't sell them (or transfer in any way for that matter) and the only place I can place them is in the bank, no trunks or chests take them. Is this a change in the game or am I experiencing a glitch and should be able to sell?
