Superlative work, Birko, as always. Does anyone know which moon the Moongate cycle is based on? Which moon has a 70 minute revolutionary period?
Sort of make sense, since New Britannia is in a 'planetcentric' system... Is the sidereal day on Daedalus actually 70 minutes long? The Primary orbits New Britannia every 60 earth minutes and Daedalus is orbiting New Britannia in the same direction which will lengthen the sidereal day... Has anyone built a whole system simulation?
Thanks for the continued updates to this @Birko! Will you ever release a version that does not have any POTs and PRTs on them for the offline players?
Will do, just been holding back so as not to diminish any excitement around the release of Portalarium's cloth hanky. It has been, and still is, a long wait. I've done a sepia version with player created questing in mind for when we get more questing capabilities. It looks pretty cool. For the time being I'm just doing the POT map because there is no existing alternative. Oh, here is one I prepared earlier. R17 to be precise :
To be fair that particular post is greatly outdated though the simulation itself accurate. I really need to get around to updating that site! ugh.. so many things to do and so many distractions.
@Birko These maps are always awesome and I direct new players to check them out. Are they not going to have the release numbers by them anymore, like http://shroudatlas.com/Assets/Images/Novia_Overland_R52.jpg, for example?
There are both. http://shroudatlas.com/Assets/Images/Novia_Overland_R56.jpg is the same as the current http://shroudatlas.com/Assets/Images/Novia_Overland.jpg It's just that the second link image will be periodically updated meaning that if you save the link, you will get the latest version. At some stage everything will be https:// but haven't looked into how to set that up yet. I was going to clear out the old maps, but if anyone uses them I'll leave them. It just gets a bit messy.
