NPC Conversation Window is great!

I am really enjoying the updates to the NPC conversation window with the key words at the bottom, especially how the used keywords are now gray. Really great. And I think will be a helpful change for new users. Thanks!

 

Yes, it is clearly a major usability improvement.

 

This is all the result of @Lord British hammering at it repeatedly and making VERY specific "requests" of how it should work so please direct thanks his way!

 

Agreed, I replayed the Path the Love and the initial quests up and thru Tower of the Eye are very clear and enjoyable. The new Conversation window makes comprehension much easier as I think the Chaos around it before was too much to allow proper immersion when reading. The Focus on NPC's and depth blur really makes me feel I am engaged in conversation. Seeing the tasks track and complete as you go has a very nice polished feel.

I know I have been critical of the system in the past, but I do see now the whole thing coming together, and it has me excited for more. I can't wait until you guys get time to loop back and create a bunch "fill gap" quests along the way. In R40, For the first time I found myself looking forward to questing and that speaks volumes for the new direction and polish of the system.

So far there has only been one tiny drawback. After I close the window the Depth of Field effect stays until I mess around with the mouse wheel scrolling or exit the scene, but hopefully that will be an easy fix? There is a bug report for it and I am happy to provide additional details and photos:
