Organizing the first player-run city with a crafting and trading theme

The best mining place is based on WHAT you want to mine. Every mine has it's speciality. The best level for mining? Become a tank with adventure Level 50+ (2 days - if you really work hard) - and then you can go and mine. But believe me one thing: You do want the tools of prosperity. All of them. All crafting ist faster, better and a bit higher then without plus the tools don't break.

Close to Vanguard, we have pretty good places to level. Hidden ones at the long lava stream - and the Vertas Pass. Ask me to go with you - and we will party fight and level you.

 

Close to Vanguard? If you are still in South Paladis then there isn't anything exactly close.
You have the blackblade pass thingie which is sorta OK for mid-high level. But there isn't that many nodes there and the respawn rate is so slow you could just as well exit and reload the scene. Then you have some nodes in Vertas but thats it.

So miners right now starting from South Paladis would either have to go to Grunvald or Drachvald for their needs.
If you have a combo of some mid-high avatar, plus beginner avatar then I'd recommend Graff Gem Mines, since once you have cleaned out the scene the kobolds and wrasse don't respawn. There are plenty of crystals in the lower parts which are level 1, so perfect for beginning miners gaining skills, then all the metals are top level so perfect for high level miners. Once you have cleaned out from top-down it has already respawned from the top, so one can repeat the mining lap as many times as one feels like it.

If you are a high level avatar then the Grunvald Shard is really really nice, but you risk a stab in the back there.

But if you are starting out fresh with a new avatar then its Perennial trail, and then off to take the Ardoris ferry to the Hidden vale that is the best.

 

I had the great honor of getting a tour of Vanguard today by Sascha Biermanns and Michel Dunkelkrug. The work they've done on the town is magnificent. I was most impressed with the town square and park areas. Well done!

Farewell to Release 21 Party in Vanguard

TODAY!​

Come and join us on the wonderful island of Vanguard, lying just west of the Blackblade and southeast of the Vertas Pass, in the region of South Paladis. Our direct neighbour islands are the Blackstone Bluff and Arx Draconis.

The party will start on the 23th of September, at 20:00 CEST (18:00 UTC).

We have a dancefloor, lot's of tables to sit down and talk, amplifiers for some good music .... and if you drank too much of the local ale ... a wooden outhouse.

Halloween / R22 Wipe Party

We are organizing a Halloween themed party for the end of R22 (probably the last weekend of the release). Aiming to have a costume contest with prizes (e.g. witches hats / spiders) and for a player made music competition. Invitations have been sent out to non-Tantalus community members to be judges of the competitions (names will be posted pending acceptance).

Amber Raine has also been invited to give a Chaos sermon during the party (I believe she has accepted!)

Guild - RSFIE

Looking to get the guild more active. It has been on the back burner with all the town and Tant stuff I've been doing. The town is intended to help the guild promote / facilitate its goals / functions so anyone that joins will have good access to banking and crafting stations. The guild has multiple duke pledges so we have plenty of crafting stations.


Vanguard Ruins - added R22

David has purchased a village which will be a nested island POT within Vanguard. This POT is called Vanguard Ruins. It was added to the game with the release of R22.
