Here is my feedback regarding the Obsidian Forge -

1. Turn off the fire damage while on the forge -



Here is an old video and it seems no one is taking fire damage here while using it.

Anyone who wants to complete their quest should be able to do the same.

2. Turn down the respawn rate around the forge -

Since this is now a story scene, if the room can be cleared, you should be able to use the forge.

Since there were respawn changes for Malice and the Crypt of the Avatar due to being a story scene, why not here?

 

Here is more feedback on how to fix the lens -

The journal entry says that I have the blueprints - it would be nice to have a recipe in the craft book, which would also show up at the forge menu.

This would save time - double click the recipe, which would pull the fragments, and click craft.

This would also help people who may not know what to do if it is discoverable - manually pull the fragments from inventory, drag and drop and then click craft if it lights up, which it should.

 

You loot a crafting recipe now along with the shard. Not sure what you're asking for, unless it be learned automatically, which seems less intuitive.

More fun at the forge -





There is a delay in getting the forge to work, but you can get kicked out of the crafting menu if you are attacked.

The forge acts just like a control point - the monsters constantly respawn - Fire Elementals and Obsidian Golems.

 

I tried it yesterday, wasn't possible... Too many elementals kepts spawning which interrupted my crafting, which is needed now for the oracle quest. Even when someone else from my group dealed with them, I just had no chance coz of all them interrupts until there were way too many mobs. Can't do the quest like this.

 

Yes, the same issue happened to me.....

 

Ugh, we've just tried to help a low level guildy through this quest, gathering all the bits, only to hit this massive roadblock.
Since the obisidian golems now do anti-magic crap, the fact that both of us are mages kind of makes protecting him in here a non-starter.
I dislike that the story quest is essnetially forcing you to assemble a full group to help down here and agree with the above suggestions that this zone, as it is now a story pre req, be adjusted accordingly.

 

Same issue. Tried it tonight. I can clear the fire elementals and obsidians. But the fire from the forge warm up kills me. I hope its adjusted so that I can complete it.
