i love the sieges, but perhaps there are a few too many, when I stand here and I can see 10!
I know those farming them will be happy but, for the sake of balance and for the noobs..

Well if I recall rightly if you're under level 20 you can bypass them entirely now..

Unfortunately, it's because so many towns want all the devotionals. I don't really see that changing much in the near future unless the sieges might tend to drive traffic to towns who don't have them or town citizens start getting annoyed.

Was glad that Lord Andernut removed them from NBM!

Probably figured all the sieges would drive away traffic.. probably right.

Although I can understand a newer avatar who doesn't know the ways to "get through" sieges, I really like them and the devotionals that produce them and have no problem with their current spawn rate.
I took my essentially new alt to one to see if she could just run straight thru without stopping to fight, and she had no problem.

So, I respectfully disagree with the OP's suggestion that there are too many. ;)

    I don't think it's the relatively difficulty that's the issue here. :)

Eight cultists are simultaneously leading sixty or so sieges. Impressive.

you dont consider standing in 1 place and being able to see 10 slightly excessive?

im not against the seiges, but id also put my neck out and say the only people who think 10 is fine are people who want to farm them surely? 10 just seem a lot.. id expect 2 or 3 moving around in an area as they get outted from somewhere they go to the next not 10 flat in a visible area..

Saw that yesterday and took a screen shot.
I wonder if they are happening more frequently than they should.

Im not sure if its "too often" but to see so many all at once.. seems, just a bit much.. theres 6 in that picture, and i can kinda understand if villages were right next to each other being done in a group, they could maybe surround "all" of them, but.. it just seems much ..

It's not so much as they're too often.. it's that so many towns now have multiple devotionals. In multiplayer it pretty much makes predicting sieges and finding them pretty pointless.. you can scarcely turn your head without seeing 2 or 3.. Everywhere you go.. siege.. siege.. siege.. It makes me glad I don't have a devotional. :)

Not that there's anything wrong with towns having devotionals but if 60 towns have the same one.. then all 60 will always come under siege at the same time. It's like the latest fad until town owners get tired of being under siege all the time.

On the other hand.. it can really give you the sense that the Cabalists are trying to burn Novia to the ground.. literally. :)

I'd agree regarding the current "state" of the roaming encounters as to being annoying, but they grab you - so that's different.
No one is forced to enter a siege and as near as I can tell from this short thread, it's just the "sight" of so many that annoy's some people.
Perhaps those of you who find them annoying should speak with the owner of whatever POT has a siege that you find annoying on the overworld, and convince them that they should remove their devotionals.
    See what they say.
