I gonna attract a lot of hate but throwing out 400+ pt heals to my pet feels overpowered..
It scales based on pets hp. And it's 100% not overpowered for a dedicated tamer relying on his/her pet for survival. If you want it to be weaker, just put fewer points into it.
I use my pet a lot. But going from 120 heals to 400+ it was simpler and often benefited my mana bar to resummon. Now, due to additional reach I can almost have my pet tank tier 8 while I randomly throw a few heals. Considering if this were people heals it would be adjusted slowly.
Just tried it out some more and found 2 issues with it. First, it is using using life magic bonuses and should be using Taming Specialization bonus instead. Second, the health scales but the focus cost doesn't. I'll have it properly scale focus. I think with those two changes it will be pretty close to where we want it. If the user is taming spec, it should be powerful but not so much if they aren't.
Oh, and Pawz may not see the full power that you're seeing Liz. He is probably not a life magic focused player so to him it probably looks more balanced.
Brings me to another point aoe heals should have more cost benifit as well I really like the push to make focus mean something to be honest I stopped worrying about focus costs years ago. Thanks for relooking at this it’s a important element that we all just ignore.
Bandaging and Veterinary Skills? Please?
I'm excited for all the changes to pet healing. It's finally a working skill. Now tamers can be tamers and not have to take life spec just to be a tamer.
Next Resurrect Creature love?
Scale the range you can resurrect your pet based on the Resurrect Creature Skill and Taming Specialization bonus. Right now you can resurrect your pet anywhere without any risk or consequences. It just seems too easy mode when it comes to resurrecting your pet.
