Pet Taming

Sorry, I had to put this question here, but it wouldn't let me post on the General tab. So if anyone is reading this, can you tell me if I can tame a pet using a taming necklace that had a pet on it already, but died? I tried resurrecting him, but I guess I was too far away. I'm assuming I have to be over the body to do this. Still learning pet taming and I have read many of the guides, but I didn't see this question covered. Thanks for your time.

 

you do not have to be within range of the body, only still in the same scene. you have five minutes; you can mouse over the whistle on your paperdoll to see the countdown.

yes, you can refill it with something else.

you can replace by taming another pet into your necklace
when your pet dies you have 5 mins to resurrect it or it is lost forever
all spells have a range to them so you have to be close to resurrect or heal your pet

Well, phooey. I hadn't gotten around to it yet, but I've been hoping for a matched pair of a small grey wolf and a small ice wolf. They're so adorable when you see an ice wolf wandering around with a normal wolf pack. Ah well, at least you saved me wasted frustration. Any chance they fall under the summonable-creatures instead?
