Placing Hand of Naturamans - glitched visual effect

Title: Placing Hand of Naturamans as housing deco gives obstructive visual effect

Details:
While "Click to Drag Decorations" mode is enabled, if you select the Hand of Naturamans to move it, instead of the item's silhouette turning red or green to show placeability, you get this (see pics).
Steps to Reproduce:Turn on "Click to Drag Decorations". Place Hand of Naturamans as housing deco. "Grab" it again in order to move it. The pictured effect appears, almost totally obscuring the item itself and making it very difficult to position or adjust the item. Since the item is already very small, it's easy to "lose" an item inside a larger item.

I lost the Hand inside an armchair that way. Fortunately when I tried to drag the chair to inventory, only the Hand was picked up, thus separating the items.

It's also happening with Eye of Naturamans and Candle. Several things with the glowy particle effect - but not all. Potted mushrooms are fine.
