Player made short gated castle wall too wide

I have experimented building castles on village size plot several times using crafted castle wall sections.
Due to the width of the wall pieces, once 4 corners and 2 straights are added, no house can be used in the middle of the property.

The short gated castle walls is too wide and clips the guard house, this is due to the protruding front pillars on both sides.

I would prefer to have the pillars on one side, the outer facing, not on the inside. This would allow a complete castle wall with a portcullis and guard house to fit on a village lot.
