Player Marketplace: Account Sales & Transfers Policy Enforcement

Because the logic, as easy as it is to understand, circles back to itself.

• They can't stop it so they want to create a safe place for it.
• But they don't want to support any of it (mostly because of legal issues).
• Trusted traders are regular people who, somehow, managed to get the trust of the company.
• You can still have issues with the individual Trusted trader and, if that's ever the case, you have to deal with them yourself instead of getting support from the company.
• And now this post was made to announce that they'll enforce their non-support to something they haven't supported in the first place. So they'll delete threads on account trading.
• People who may want to sell their accounts will have to go elsewhere.

So what difference does it make?

"If they don't support it, I can understand why they don't want it in the forums" but that would mean they shouldn't allow any trading in the forums since we have to deal with the traders themselves. Aka: we got no support unless the Trusted trader contacts them (why would they?). If they can't offer US support when dealing with Trusted traders, they're way less likely to offer to support when dealing with others in the forums... so what, exactly, are they supporting?

 

Not sure I understand why you are bothering...maybe to try and push people to the Trusted Traders program?

Your "trade at your own risk disclaimer and don't bug us if it doesn't go well" has covered you for 2 1/2 years...nothing fundamental has changed.

This would be an opportunity to have posted an updated list of Trusted Traders.

Or is it still just the same one guy now as it was 13 months ago when the program was rolled out? The community just has not embraced the Trusted Trader program because it doesn't add value for 99.99314% of the people trading.
