That's tragic Sir Lancelots! I was annoyed when I lost a property in R11, but that was nothing compared to your travails.

 

Not sure why your pledge took two weeks? It should be instant?

If you don't get a lot for R13 I'll give you mine and some gold to furnish!

I was assuming there'd be a wipe as well. But if not I'll just get a crappy lot somewhere. It honestly doesn't bug me too much at this point since this is early, and more wipes will undoubtedly come. Or (like others will do), I'll just camp around in one of the popular areas and log in every so often to see if any lots have been timed-out

Ideally I'd like to find a row house lot in a popular city, and then my town lot in some far-off area to use as my "estate"

Honestly, I could care less RIGHT NOW about what lot I have my house on, I mostly stopped playing because of three things the crazy delay in my pledge upgrade, I had other real world work to do and the fact that I assumed that there would be a wipe for R14. After all, if you look at the things that they were trying to get in R13, such as rewards, more housing settings etc, it would give one the idea that these things that were missed in R13 would be in R14 and therefore it seemed to avoid a wipe would have been impossible. I don't want them to wipe unless it's necessary, I'm not stating they should, but I am saying most likely for now until the project I have to finish is complete I probably won't log it until Thursday 18th and on top of that I probably won't stick around long unless there is a wipe.

I do realize that an excellent property location is in the eyes of the beholder. Heck in UO I had a house in an area of a swamp not a soul passed up. I did this because me and about 4 other guys had that second location as a PK house. I was perfect as it was right outside of Trinsic, but at the same time where it was location was off the beaten path, so much so that no other house could be place remotely near it and the house was always surrounded by alligators (and yes a lot of gators got into the house many times over and caused havoc). I would even go as far as to state that after more strict house placement rules were put into place that house was grandfathered in as it would have been impossible to place a new house in that same location.

In the end, I appreciate the offers of help, but I would rather earn it and experience it, that's why there was a level of disappointment. I was looking forward to a wipe. To take the knowledge I NOW had and apply it and see what kind of plot I could get and in what area before they were all taken up. It was me testing the theories I had and seeing if I was right or wrong. Not that it will matter in the long run, it would just be interesting to be a part of that game progression and understand what it takes to get what you want.

Again, thanks for all the responses, if anything was accomplished by this it was me getting a better understanding of how the system is working and will work in the future and that information to me at this moment is priceless.

 

If anyone want to mess around with housing they can inbox me and Ill friend them so they can decorate. Its in Northshire but its something.

 

We just had R12 and about to go to R13. You're way ahead the game.

 

Howdy folks,

So, if the timer started on the 10th, that means tomorrow (the 17th) we may see some houses drop or lots become available, yes? I have my home in Northshire, first one on the left when you enter (the Nordic). Since I'm on almost everyday, and numerous times during the day, I will check with the town cryer to see if lots are available and when something pops up, I will post here, how many and what type....unless there is a wipe.
