    Before anyone asks, this has already been bugged multiple times. It was supposedly fixed with an earlier patch but it's still broken :(

    Just making sure that this is still on the radar

    @Chris ,@LORD Brit, @DarkStarr
    How can we expect them to fix crossbow enchanting properly, if regular bows don't even get a Proc off a socket yet?
    This issue has been raised for 10 releases,but willfully ignored .

    Instead of bow procs, what if a sorcery gem changes the bows damage type to fire instead of physical?

    Necro gem death damage, Gaiaism gem changes the bow to earth damage. Then archers have an option to deal with resists by equipping a bow with an efficient damage type for the mob they are fighting.

    And sorry to derail thread, I tested and could not socket my xbow, still broke!

    That would be much better then nothing.

    Magic gets attune AND extra damage to its core spells.
    Like the 50% damage to death day dual wand users get..... vs 15% damage to rapid shot.

    Please explain the balance behind 15% possible for one tree and 50% possible for another ..... and that tree heals while damaging (gg death tree)

    I really appreciate you hijacking my thread, thanks. But if I'm not mistaken, they have said they have to wait until the ammo refactor for this to work...and the ammo refactor hasn't been done yet.

    How is it hijacking the thread? are you mental? It's the same issue!
    I'd expect a Ldykllr like yourself to tip your fedora and hold the door for me, and let these issues combine.

    No, it's not the same issue. We can currently socket and enchant regular bows. We cannot socket and enchant crossbows, which is a bug. I was simply asking them to address this as a bug report has been put in and it hasn't been fixed yet.

    The no proc's issue is an entirely separate issue and has to do with how bows work (they have said this, many times, before). Which is why I mentioned the ammo refactor (which isn't done yet). But whatever, do what you want, I don't really care to argue.

    do you think crossbows will proc a special enchantment when socketed? nope... doubt they will fix one and not the other
