    Greetings,

The town crier on Port Mirren island said there were 2 lots available. I searched, and Searched, and SEARCHED! For hours! Walked and swam around the shoreline and then searched the hills. I could not find any lots. I concluded it must be a bug. Several hours later, the crier said there was 1 lot available. What the hell?! I searched again. No lot. Several hours later the crier said thee were 0 lots.

Please, for god sake, make the ping beams much taller so you can see them over hills, and make them visible from any distance in the scene. It should not take hours to find the lots in a scene.

    Thank you

Perhaps it varies depending on one's eyesight and monitor, but I found the signals quite hard to see as well unless I was fairly close. Looking for a spot in Kingswood, I was told there were well over a dozen lots available but it still took me several minutes to find any of them. It's all but impossible to see the little 'for sale' stones in the ground, in the woodland areas, so the 'beams' are essential for short-sighted house-hunters like me! :)

I know it's frustrating to not find lots but you have to start early in the weekend if you want to get one quickly.

Once the mainland is open it should be much easier to find them.

There was still one lot available in Kingswood earlier this evening, apparently... it's not so much that they're scarce (which I expect), it's that it can be so hard to spot them even when there are some available. Especially in the woodland villages, where plots don't even look like plots because of all the trees, and you can't see the stones in the ground. A more obvious signal, that can be seen above trees and hills, would be really helpful.

Replace the beams with dancing hula girls. Problem solved.

i think you did not know how to activate the lightning beams?

did you only search or did you use the function to activate the lightning beams?

Press (spam) "p" and walk around. Lightning beams will appear on unclaimed lots.
The beams should definitely be brighter for easier recognizing.
They are hard to spot in the woods.

I'd have to agree with the OP...I think they can make the beams brighter, taller, bigger, with flashing colors and fireworks and yes, even dancing hula girls.
