Not only does the collar look out of place, it also intersects helmets and just looks bad. I think the satin-looking texture of the tabard is enough to distinguish them as founder items. The collar is completely unnecessary.

I like the aesthetic, hopefully they can hide it helms that are problematic.

I personally think a collar looks out of place on a tabard.

Overall I prefer to keep the collar, but it depends on what helm you use (works okay with bucket helm, for instance). I like that it hides some of the bare neck effect (who wears plate armour and great helm but somehow leaves their neck bare? :p). Anyway my vote is to keep it but refine it to avoid the effect Barugon depicts, with it through that epic mail helm.

There are a number of items with clipping issues, I would argue for refinement for as well rather than replacing of, such as the front clasp cloak. It clips my armour, but I'd say fix it so it doesn't rather than remove the front clasp effect, for instance :)

Maybe they could hide it if you're wearing a helmet with neck protection?

That is probably the better solution. However, they probably built it directly into the mesh. I don't know if that means they need to detach it to make it easy to hide.. of if there's some texture magic they can use to hide just those polys when wearing certain items. But either way, it's a bit of work. Or it could just be a lot faster than I think. :) I can see it going either way. But it would be nice.

I do agree the collar seems out of place but I don't think it looks terrible either. But yeah.. clipping issues need addressing.

Well, it wasn't originally there. They tacked it on. The original trim is even still around the neck hole.

    It clips into cloaks, too
