Why didn't you guys revise the investment site and say story complete, instead of story Launch?

But your emphasizing the COMPLETE, not launched. Not really sure what the difference is?



So.. i ask my question again?
For someone who has waited up till now to go through the story, should i be waiting for the final launch? Or is the Core story complete enough that i will get the majority of the intended experiance? Im asking because im going to be doing a full documented run through of the story, and i want to know exactly when its fair to do so.

Also unrelated.. any time line on Chris doing his 2 year plan yet? I got impression it would be out a few weeks roughly from when you said it would be. Any progress updates?

I love Travian, this is great news. I played travian for 6 years as my only game.

Here was an early win, I was wanderers in this vid at 4.55 to 5.05 blowing up my Roman army trying to steal a large artifact back in 2011. Yeah, we have about 5 or 6 victory videos each one was done to celebrate a server we crushed

They say it is complete. In my mind that means the whole experience is there and any remaining bugs should be minor. Then again Launch has a very specific meaning to me as well. Don't expect a straight answer from these people. Decide for yourself what they are saying, how much more they might possibly complete in the next 4 months and go through it or don't.

 

Blegh! That's a crappy thing to say about the people who have spent their time bringing us this great experience.

People always decide for themselves, they don't need to be told.
Enough people have decided the game is good enough to spend the time to test and to help improve. The millions of hours of testing are a testament to this.

The truth is always in the data.

 

So @Berek you're saying more European players. But are they European players playing on our server or are they European (African, etc.) players playing on their own servers? I mean it was pretty clear the Russian players were getting their own server.

What happened to the one server concept?

We European already play since the beginning on the same server. Nothing will change

 

I must have missed some information....

 

In reading this I hear another step forward to getting the game known around the world. What I don't hear about is a partnership that will allow more manpower for the massive amount of work still needed to release this game the best it can be released. I vote for man-power or woman-power along with any up-coming partnerships.

 

I have played topless, but it's not something you'd want to see.

@Berek Sounds like excellent news but as a European player would like to know if this means a seperate European server in future as I am currently putting in alot of effort sorting out housing and a guild. If it transpires that a switch to a European server is on the cards then I am potentially wasting both time and money at the moment. Also presumably any server transfer would transfer houses, plots etc and not just my character ?

 

If many Europeans play topless, I am sure as many if not more Americans play in their underpants.

Yes and no, travian games had some really bad times too.
I believe in 2013 for example they had to fire like 60 employees....

Still a good choice though for distributing SotA in Europe.

 

They have promised "One Mega Server" forever now, I dont think they will go back on thier word.

 

There are no plans to have separate servers for Black Sun or Travian players.
