Postpartum reports

    You keep referring to release reports as "postmortems". That's appropriate for a failure root cause analysis, where you're reporting on why something died, but surely a release report is a "postpartum" not a "postmortem"? You've given birth to a new release!

    You could consider a stage of a project to have 'died' upon completion. In either case, 'post-mortem' has been used in the game industry for a many long count of years as an analysis of the development cycle/experience once development is complete.

    Yeah Agile is goofy like that. I like the current term because if the release sucks you can bury it and spit on that site. o_O
