Pristine Heads

Noticed since R36 that I haven't gotten a single pristine animal head despite tons of kills and higher skill level. Colleagues have noticed the same. What gives? Anyone know?

 

We were noticing this today as well..

 

i got some, they just rarer

 

I get them routinely....

But then that tree is GM, GM, GM....

And when they get around to adding our "Earned" weapon titles - I'm pretty sure I'm gonna qualify for a "Seriously BadAss Longsword of Bear Slaughter"

Sooo....

 

They have made them a rarer item since the last patch. It was listed as such.

 

got a desert wolf yesterday. heads are rarer dropping. No cotos dropped for me.

I got a bronze coto drop, no pristine heads.

 

I got two on the first week after the release they showed up in, but haven't seen one since. It felt like they bumped the rarity up a bit to adjust...which is probably good I suppose. When they introduce something cool and rare that makes a nice goal to aim for, it's depressing to see it flood the market everywhere in a week.

 

I and 5 others went into deep ravenswood for at least 3 hours in friends only mode farming bears and wolves and not 1 pristine head dropped for any of us.

I also initially thought maybe the drop rate had bugged out.

 

I used to get skeleton bones from hardened skeles, but none this release. Same with pristine heads. Drop rate apparently went way down, and yet no one buys them off my vendor either

 

I wonder if heads are tied to global inventory now, like the Cotos were once reported to be... I've been hoarding them because i never get around to mounting them

Ok all you head hunters.....i got the recipe for Sobek. Where the heck is this creature at? I can find no reference to it except the recipe to mount the damn head. Kinda hard to do that if you have no clue where to hunt it. LMAO

 

OHHH...and where can you get the recipe for the Pristine Spider....cant find it anywhere

 

Yeah, much harder to get some head these days.

 

Got our first pristine Bear Patriarch head today in almost 4 months. Ridiculous. We killed i know 3o bears if not more today and only one prisitine head in the bunch. Whew.....that is crazy

 

My guess is they tuned it from 1 in 100 or 200 to 1 in 500 or 1000. But I will say, if you want them rare this it it.

 

I'm pretty sure Sobek is in "the fall"

 

Don't hit them in the face.... aim for the butt

 

Look for the one with the pierced ear rings, or the Prince Albert
