    I kill the Obsidian Bears daily and will track how many heads I get from how many kills...
    I can give you some idea of drop rate for those, which I'll do soon...

    On a possibly related topic: I also noticed that obsidian bear/wolf skins seem to be much, much rarer. Anyone else notice this or was I just having a bad night in Deep Ravenswood?

    I collect both of those and haven't noticed any change to their drop rate lately.
    Obsidian Stags, on the other hand, could sure use some love on the rate of their named carcass's....... :(
    Oh, and they don't drop a Pristine Head period.
    (Yes, I know we have the antlers from stags ..... Not the same).

    Dang it dev's, of all the heads that would be great for a Trophy Room, the Obsidian Stags aren't in yet. Before you do get them in, could you please add some BLACK to their bodies or at least their heads... They ARE Obsidian ya' know...... :eek:

    Ok, I have some data - for what it's worth...
    In the last 24hrs I killed 163 Obsidian Bears in you know where, and I got a single pristine head....
    So, go from there......... ;)

    I finally suddenly got three more pristine heads in two days hunting grizzly/polar bears and timber wolves in two different 4+/5+ scenes. The first pristine heads I’ve seen since the original month that they were introduced.

    (should I have recorded the time of day and alignment of stars at the time - or is that too susperstitious?)

    So why in the name of god isn't the chance of obtaining a pristine head tied to the level of field dressing skill? I'm sorry, but it's absolutely ridiculous having to spend 5+ hours hunting in tier 3-5 zones killing polar bears, pigs etc for a pristine head.

    Killed about 150 Obs bears yesterday and got 4 pristine heads. and a couple of teeth. What are those used for anyway?

    Why when you mount a pristine Patriarch Bear head does it change into a normal grizzly bear?
