I was asking a hospitaller about this but got disconnected.

I have a village lot. I pre-paid 30 days of property taxes, so 30k igg. When I logged in today, 8 days later, the deed said "past due 8000, days left XX". Property tax credit 30,000. So, does that mean after a certain amount of days the taxes will be pulled from my credit? Once the total credit runs out I will then have to either pay what is due or create a new credit, right?

    How exactly does it work?

You may have only added the credit. Paying taxes on a lot is a two step process if you are adding credit. Look at the bottom of the property manager and you will see the balance.

As @Dinsoo said... It's Likely you added 30K of Tax Credit to your 'bank' of available funds used to pay taxes... This number is displayed on the bottom of the interface.
You use this banked money to actually pay your taxes. You'll need to click on the property and pay. the money you pay will be deducted from your credit pool.

    Yes, it's confusing.
No, I don't know why it was implemented that way.

Greetings all. Yes the payment of lot tax is a two step process. I believe that was for Avatars that have multiple properties. It allows you to click on a deed and pay the taxes for that one.

It will NOT pull from your credit automatically.

    Source: lost lots this way

Thanks everyone. That was helpful info. It already dumped to the bank once. Luckily I’m in a POT. More annoying to reset up than anything.

Clearly there is a need for a "low rent funds" icon, sort of like the "low xp pool" icon.

Personally, I would like to see an in-game email, and an email sent to the email account associated with the user account when the taxes due becomes greater than 0 for Taxed Lots.
For Tax Free Lots... the same emails at the two week until the lot expires mark.
