    I'm a Mac SotA gamer ... yeah, I know.

Anyway, the SotA ChatLogs and dump from the /stats command in game are documented rather well for Windows users, but it took way too much digging to get the same basic facts for Mac OS X. So, here goes:

    /Users/{username}/.config/Portalarium/Shroud of the Avatar/ChatLogs

Yeah, they should put it in ~User/Documents/

Same thing with music files too; opening the App itself to fiddle with it is not recommended.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you're less of a gamer just because your platform of choice is different.

    I'm a Mac gamer too.

Be proud. Remember when we had to worry about drivers and stability?

    Yeah, I don't either.

Metal support is actually listed in the Unity development timeline as a mention. Of course when it truly sees the light of day is anyone's guess. Maybe Blizzards support for Metal in Legions will light a fire.

Oh, I'm fine. My Apple comforts go way back to Ultima V on an Apple IIe. It's just interesting on these forums where the vast preponderance of traffic assumes Windows.

This has been something searched for by various Mac gamers, Elgarion especially. He also maintains the sotahelp.org site

I've added this to the SotAwiki as well. I've been meaning to make a topic about what the stats file contains, so seemed a good time to do this.

Anyone know where the file is on Linux?

I'm anxiously looking forward to Metal; especially since I've been developing on Unity for quite some time myself.

Like you mentioned, Blizzard's going to be the at the forefront.

Glad this little piece of info has proved useful!
I could also add this shortcut, for Mac users:

"Go" = Shift-Command-G in the Finder, paste in the path I listed above, and you just pop right to the destination directory/folder.

But the chat logs' contents don't seem to be indexed for Spotlight searches, so you may still have to revert to the CLI in Terminal in order to grep for certain strings you may be looking for.

If you're having trouble with hidden files/folders (.config is hidden by default) simply follow these instructions:

    1. Open Terminal found in Finder > Applications > Utilities.
    2. In Terminal, paste the following: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
    3. Press return.
    4. Hold the 'Option/alt' key, then right click on the Finder icon in the dock and click Relaunch.

After this, you should see .config inside of the {username} folder.
