I was wondering if dev interactions via discord is balanced pvp vrs pve. The bloodbay discord has lots of dev traffic and much content and balance decisions are coming from that channel. Is there a pve version of this kind of input? Or does one need to participate in the pvp channel to have this kind of access to the devs? Wouldnt the regular shroud discord be a better place for fair and balanced input?

I dont mind if the PvPers have thier say as long as there is equal representation.

    1. Blood Bay is a pvp channel.
    2. Bugs discussed in the channel relate to BOTH pve and pvp.
    3. You can always tag a dev in SOTA discord, they usually reply.
    4. If pve players didn't show so much hate for pvp players, we will not be having this conversation.

Really what im looking for is good back and forth pve conversations from the devs like whats apparrently going on in the pvp channel. Since we have chris and travis in there, mabey we can get more darkstar and lord British in the official sota discord for back and forth?

They are already in SOTA discord, Bioxide. All 4 of them. I guess you should ask Darkstarr and LB about this.

Let us know what you hear! It would be nice to have it said or transcribed on the forums and the livestream to get their word out to everyone.

Is the Blood Bay discord channel part of the Shroud of the Avatar channel or separate ?

I believe there are already a lot of resources available to discuss PvE with developers; these forums, official sota discord, submitting questions to monthly livestream.
Having a discord dedicated to a topic that is helpful to devs with getting real players feedback on balance and things that are broken in PvP is a good thing.
I am happy to have a couple devs (Chris, List) paying attention to the minority of minorities in this community, PvP.
PvE can be discussed anywhere else easily.
I dont see it as Dev Chat Dominance or unequal representation. I would say the Blood Bay chat actually equalizes the representation. Its a good resource to go to that is focused on one topic at hand and with players that actually participate in it.
Youre also free to talk to chris on the blood bay discord, he does answer topics not related to PvP a well.

It is a player-run channel, just like there are other player-run channels the devs are part of.

I think its more a channel for people who managed to grab lots in blood bay ....not sure how much that has to do with pvp ...owning a lot in blood bay doesnt make you a pvp-er .

I dont think any of the decision taken by players in blood bay channel reflect what the dev are actually doing. Beside bug report and pvp balance question everything we, as player, say in that channel arent places as input in the game as you would think. They read our comment just like they do on general discord channel.

Personally i dont agree with this ''divide'' within the community . Seems in a way players are '' ranked '' and given access based on how much they spend .... i understand why port took this path obviously is a source of income but i dont agree with it . Pay this get acces to dev chat and dev section in forum ..one category...pay for an orb of nobility ..get access to global ingame chat another category... be a part of x discord chat and you get to influence , discuss issues ,decisions with devs ..... give interviews about the game to players ...that none knows about unless they get advertised by those players and so on....

I mean really we have been asking for GLOBAL CHAT ingame for ages now... but of course theres major opposition from the old guard who already have access to it because they paid for it ....and the rest of the citizens of novia, they gotta depend on what other players ( with access) tell them about what DEVS say on this chat or in that channel or in that interview ....

I would love global chat as well as a rookie/new player chat channel. Plain and simple more communication IN-Game for people to connect

If I were LB or DS I would not allow Chris to speak in any discord channel other than SotA's own channel.
    Period.
As far as I know, THEY run the show.
That is what would be fair to ALL..........
