This game caught my eye after seeing an odd term on google in relation to PvP. It is an interesting concept, so I thought I would expand upon it and being very bored today I've made some fun little banners for the hardcore PvPer :)

I applaud your creativity, but your slider levels are vague and flawed. For one, you don't actually describe the restrictions at each level. I get the point that 100% is open PvP, but its difficult to distinguish other options along the slider. The other issue with the descriptions is that, instead of defining themselves (100% = open pvp, 50% = half open, etc.) they impose roles to abstractly define themselves, which leaves a lot to be asked. Not all Open-PvP players will be PKs, pirates, and thieves, and not all non-PvP players are "carpetbaggers". I find it a strange coincidence that you expounded specifically upon Insane Membrane's Magicpvpsliderbarthingy (tm), because you have a similar writing style as him and a similar glorifying attitude of PvPers.

Still, I get that these banners are more for fun than anything, and I hope I don't come accross as offensive. :)

Hum, try searching for InsaneMembrane in the "members" section, and I think you will find one cannot fight himself :)

    Plus you missed a couple.

60% "I am a badass. If I ever find something lacking in my idealized perfect build, I will spend months or years fixing it. I don't go looking for fights, but if someone challenges me in the open field, I will not stop until they are a pasty smear at my feet."

None of those. Consensual, symmetric, objective based PvP.
It's been proven to work. Instead of proven not to.

I need one that goes to 110%, for HC/P-D.

Hard Core Perma-Death. "A short and brutal life, and a glorious (or maybe lag related) death."

*Shushs Jambot* Shhhhhhh! Don't break his immersion! At least now he is RPing, and doing a pretty good job of it according to his other posts, so we'll just keep playing along with him. ;)

I need one for the hardcore RP-PvPer: "Die fiend! Your soul belongs to me! OW! - OH GOD, NO! NOT IN THE FACE!!"

What, they get personalized sliders and I don't? Now I start to think you dislike me personally.

No, seriously, that's how I play. I once caught a fellow named Roflknife and his buddies, all very very geared out in PvP toys, picking on noobs in Wintergrasp, Doomhammer server, Nightfall battlegroup, WoW. I organized a few of my friends and guildies, we STARTED PvPing. We got geared. We learned the skills. We got really really geared. We started counter ambushing Roflknife and his buddies, and less than a month after that, if THEY started griefing, WE showed up, and they STOPPED. Shortly thereafter, our periodic team forays into random battlegrounds shut down the Nightfall battlegroup. In every Orgrimmar of the battlegroup, /trade was full of people whining about B R O K E N. I didn't pick that fight, but I damn sure finished it. After the fact, Roflknife conceded the point in a conversation. So no, I wasn't being at ALL sarcastic. That was the best I could come up with on the fly for my MagicPvPSliderBarThingy rating.

It's nice when a community member goes out of his or her way to do something nice for fellow community members.
That's something you don't see much here where it seems so many are out for themselves...I'm glad I'm not the only ine who finds this attitude refreshing.:)
