I bet it has been read by the devs. I think they keep up like the rest of us. There has been some minor changes in the PvP community since the beginning of this thread till now. We are slowly but surely doing something here.

 

I haven't been able to keep up with this thread. I'm sure I've missed tons of stuff...

Every time I come in here people are starting to completely break down and argue, see page 170 for details.

We can't. I'm making a joke at the expense of rune_74 who was arguing with me earlier over the games direction, of which he would prefer single player I guess.

Guys... its so funny to see you all have but a vague memory of the glory of bounty days UO.

Time for another confession I guess... I was the best PvPer of atlantic. Not only in those days, but since UO's release, I won many AMT tournaments, some official tournaments, then became a seer.

Then, I was red... after getting "fired" by EA, obviously I was furious.

I lasted over 5 months of PURE glory as the mastermind BRAINBUG. The only competition I had in bounty amount was the infamous GM deadly trap box tinkerer *lol*. He killed only noobs tho, I was the real thing.

That summer/fall was the most satisfying time of my life adrenaline/entertainment wise. I was totally liberated and gratified by the experience.

I must also confess I kinda love you guys right now for having this, how shall I say ; cute conversation about what you think really drives the chariot...

To me you got it all inside out.

I ALWAYS used my best gear and never died rampaging dungeon after dungeon in the lower floors, killing very professional players and guilds (without healer I would tackle up to 3 players, with up to 5)...

I became legend, and was treasoned by the best friend of my best friend because my virtual head was worth 5k$ IRL. Yup they used bugs to lag me out and took me out 300 on one... as if that was necessary *rolls eyes*

well they got me, but my friend got my head *LOL*

I never sold anything, I let all my server birth rares and my head decay with my house then deleted all my characters who were also worth thousands because of tons of unique perks I had during my time as a seer.

Now this is passion, this is drama... this is life.

To hell with the murmur I hear saying : I can't differentiate between real life and a game... you don't feel bad for looting if the game is object oriented...

We're not talking about some obscure concept here, people loot in LARP too and noone feels like puncturing their tires before leaving cause they lost the artifact that cost them 3 seasons to acquire. You lost it, boohoo

Now compare to what I lost...

I'm not sure Abydos and I are on the same page, philosophically, in anything except full loot.

 

Well, it's all a bit fuzzy right now without any criminal system. The only criminals I see are the people controlling an island that is open to the public. I think we have a common cause.

No offense vengeance people. I'm sure we will all be friends during a Pax Lair play or something, but I think the police need to breakup all that loitering going on in front of that boat.

 

It's definitely going to be fun getting to PvP again.
