Q1 2016 Schedule Update

Several sources but my methodology was to look up the time that the titles development started by month, then to count it down through to release except in the case of star citizen and sota which are still in development. No trick to it really, I counted from the very month that product development started because that's exactly what people are seeing with SotA... We've been seeing the development from the very first month the project kicked off.

And final wipe means just that. Final, wipe. There's no trickery to it. It means there will be no more wipes.

Yeah, it helps i have a few friends that worked on some of those teams *chuckle* but usually wikipedia or some gaming credits sites will have history of production start to gold master release as well.

I think well be getting more good news soon, so if anything im quite excited ^^

 

Such as final wipe date? My guess would be sometime in July or August.

 

Skimming through this thread to get myself up-to-date, I saw @Spoon's post and this line. The thoughts that went through my head AS I was reading it were:

"Yeah, I skipped the Kickstarter too. Yeah, I kinda waited to come back to this game also... Oh, ... oh, but I did not start with a basic pledge. I did NOT try the game out for ANY amount of time before jumping in head-first! Oh, but that last part still applies - I definitely knew exactly what I was getting into."

I couldn't be happier.* I asked the community to convince me to NOT buy into this game, and to tell me everything wrong with it to-date. I'm really glad I did, because my expectations are being realized week-after-week in the development of this game.

* - Well, there's plenty of things that could make me happier, but hardly any of them are related to SotA.

 

I keep checking the forums multiple times a day. Aren't we waiting for breaking news regarding launch and wipes?

 

We are waiting for it to become publicly available yes. It is still currently a work-in-progress.

I would say they are getting pretty close though.

Yes but didnt Starr say something recently about a big announcement that was going to either come as early as last week?

Edit: and the "We are working diligently" part is understated. You should see the battles being fought in the Dev+ area over the pending announcement as it gets reviewed. Holy Carp.

Ok so i wasn't dreaming about it. Looking forward to the update.

There is a ton on my MMORPG place so i'm not dying to get started. By Sota is definitely on my short list of games for 2016.

Hi,

does that mean it will possible to easily respec?

 

I'm not sure if that's still a thing or is the end result turned to be the current "unlearn" option we have right now.

 

Not sure how you could respec in a use based system anyway...

 

If anything, I think you will just get back the pooled exp spent on the "unlearned" skills. I don't think it means you can instantly put them into another skill.

 

Full XP back in the pool?
