Quest idea and introduction of new areas

    In the Dev Hangout 4.11.13 there was a topic edge of map ?here be monsters?.

    Why don?t place monsters at the edge of the map. Some random encounters both at land and at sea.
    When you are somewhat near the edge, easy mosters. Then when you get closer more and more difficult monsters and when yout get very near the edge, random epic ones included amongs the ?normal? lethal ones. You will normally never reach the end of the map, because of the increased lethalness of the monsters.
    The ones that reach the end of the world will never live to tell about it.

    This could be a questline by it self.
    Epic loot that is hard to come.

    When introducing a new area ?

    Someone finds a map where you have an unmarked path thru the monsters to a new area, at that path you can actually pass thru. The more people that makes the journey the easier the monsters will be until the path is cleared so that it is safe for normal people.

    If you miss the path or get a wrong map that shows you the wrong position, all monster will be as leathal as normal.
    Maps that you get will in the beginning have errors in them, depending on price, but maps will get better as the path is mapped more when people com back alive and can tell stories about it.

    Songs can be sung about the heroes that defeated the monsters ?
    Path of when it?s clear
    Multiple paths to the area.

    Make the journey an adventour.
