    Is this not the one with the incredibly frustrsting **puzzle** to kill the elemental?

    There was a post just the other day with a quick how to solo, just an fyi.

    I can't think of any other Kiln quest...
    Did it several releases ago and it was good fun. If you want to have friends helping you have to start / enter together, otherwise a ladder won't be usable by friends (if they join later)

    Kiln Cistern is one of this great quests, you never would thinking of, entering Kiln the first time.

    Yes, it is not easy, not for beginner lvl players.

    And it is very helpful to have a map(!)
    Without a map it would take a lot more time to finish it.

    It is also helpful and interesting, because of the connections to other important places...

    And at last: solving the quest is fun. May be the reward could be more ;)

    It is a kind of quest, I hope to see more in different places...

    Kiln Cistern is a puzzle situation created by @PlagueOfLocust (aka Dan) with an assist by @Lum the Mad who set up the conversation parts. Among other puzzles, Dan also set up the puzzles in Boreas Colossus (except the dragon) and Oracle Colossus. He's crazy for puzzles!

    The issues with ladders and other interactions being out of sync for late-comers should be fixed at this point. We did a big overhaul with our switches and such to fix syncing problems. If you go back to Kiln Cistern with friends and still have problems with that ladder, please let us know!

    Keep that guy around.

    And sometime after Ep1 launch it might be neat for a new puzzle quest to pop up that required travelling the whole world to solve.

    I think the only truly frustrating thing is trying to kill the elementals after all the buffs they've had over the past year. First was the elemental resistance, and now they can self-heal. I can run completely out of focus while they keep healing themselves. It also doesn't help that they keep running around. (caster AI)
