Quest lines delay/glitch/bug

Any quest line that has more than one part seems to just randomly refuse to update until you revisit it days later. On path of courage i got to the Norgard palace door and the two guards refused to let me in until a week later i was walking past them and they just fling the doors open. As i progressed further i have the same issue with the chancellor refusing to talk to me. On the path of love i had the same issue at two separate points with with Khassi and the shogun both refusing to acknowledge the quest until i relogged a dozen times and they randomly decide to award me exp without even typing a keyword. Further along now, i am in the crypt of the avatar and im stuck again with no journal update from Samuel, Eris and Miles.
