QUESTION TIME! What keeps you playing this game?

Same here...
He's the only reason the BMC came over from UO.
We came home...
And we'll be here till the last bell tolls...

 

I love adventuring, learning skills, decorating houses, building my town, loving the people that each avatar represents.

This game is quietness, peacefulness, caring, acceptance with no judgement......I am home.

 

I like improving my avatar's stats and overcoming enemies I couldn't manage a couple months ago, learning new skills, decorating, crafting new items, RE-exploring "old" zones and finding the interesting quests that are now present, and checking in with friends/family in the game.

 

I LOL'd.

 

I stay because of the tens of $1000's of dollars I make creating YouTube videos. I just bought a yacht and a second home in the Caribbean! By this time next year maybe another home in Monaco! ... dream ... stirs ... huh, what?? Oh... I mean the nice people of the community.

 

Maybe tens of $10s is more like it xP

 

New Content/patches every month, Dev team answers our questions, I love watching my Undead pets grow as I level their skills, total freedom in skill choice, Generally fantastic community....

Just to name a few.

 

1) The unlimited number of skills I can play. I switch between builds all the time, take whole sets up to GM (like swords, bludge, polearm, archery) to shake up my game play and then burn them all down into my prime skills (currently pole arm, but also heavy defenses) to raise those up and then start all over again.
2) Crafting: Although a love hate, mostly hate after a run of say 100 spears that end up with 1 or 2 useful ones (but yet, I return)
3) Social: I am not social in this game.. period... but I do really like my guild and the people in it... could care less about others and what they think of me (thats for real life, I get burned out enough having to deal with people there).
4) Market: I love the strength of the market in this game. Every time I almost go broke, I sell some great stuff and make a ton of money. The economy in this game even with this tiny population is awesome once you really get into it. All you need is a simple small investment like a row house in a market PoT and not put that silly 99.99% of stuff up on your vendor that people dont want or already have a ton of themselves (artifacts).
