    Hi all,

I have a 4 story row house on my lot currently, with chests and decorations and a basement. I have finally just made a 4 story greenhouse row house, but now I'm afraid to use it now, heh!

    1. What will happen to my decorations?
    2. What will happen to my chests?
    3. What will happen to my basement (and decorations inside it)?
    4. Also, my brothers have their own chests and have placed their own decorations (they have Kindred access). What will happen to all of their stuff?

Thanks in advance for helping me out!

    Cheers,
    Oy.

In this scenario you need to remove and replace all items.

Otherwise if you just change houses all of the stuff will go to the bank.

As for the basement you can put that in the Magic mover and preserve all that's in there.

    Thanks for the reply!

Bah, I was afraid it'd be a hassle. The bank isn't far from our house, though, and I wonder if we can just throw everything in a few chests and somehow carry them to the bank intact. I've never tried putting full chest in the bank. Hmmm...

Load everything into chests. Drag the chests to the basement. Put the basement in the magic mover. This will preserve the state of the basement. Put the hatch in your inventory. Swap houses. Place hatch. Put the basement back. Pull chests out of basement and redecorate.

the magic mover step is unnecessary. switching a house does not affect the basement, you just have to put a new hatch down afterwards.

it would be necessary to store the basement first if you were unclaiming the lot.

Good to know. Never tried it that way for fear of my entire basement ending up in the bank.
